Holiday-themed illustrations by the beloved artist illustrate the familiar song in this gift book with more appeal to adults than kids. Rockwell's lively and often humorous pictures have been wisely selected to complement the lyrics. Illustration credits at the end of the book provide simple information including the title, publication date, and medium used for each work.

Lyrics by George M. Cohan. Fourteen Norman Rockwell paintings illustrate lines from the stirring song. An introduction by Rockwell's grandson places the artwork in historical context. The clean design is appealing, but overly large font distracts the eye. Appended thumbnails of the paintings provide titles and dates. The volume is more a patriotic paean to America and Rockwell's art than it is a children's book.
